Happier Employees Mean Higher Profits — Who Knew?

But of course, there is a long history of corporate profits being earned on the backs of exploited employees.  So we play — only a bit.

For in recent years, and thanks largely to the Internet and more narrowly to social business technologies gaining traction in the workplace, we are seeing that “employee well-being, engagement, and overall happiness are inextricably tied to performance and productivity.”

A Finnish study recently found that a 1% increase in worker satisfaction increased their measurable output by 3.6%.

We are seeing similar results in both academic surveys and in our own case studies.  We see this as an exciting advance for workers and companies and those of us in the EdTech sector that are building systems for increasing employee satisfaction by increasing their productivity.
